If You Have Surgery You Get Presents
Would you take a look at this beautiful table full of fabulousity. My friend Sandra is always way too generous and thoughtful with me. She went crazy shopping at Trader Joes loading me up with old favorites and some soon to be new favorites. I haven't tried the sparkling pink lemonade yet....it looks too pretty to drink! Flowers and a great magazine too!!
Whenever Sandra does something it looks fab. She wraps beautiful packages and always has just the right finishing touches.
Even the back of her card looks cute. Sweet little birdie sticker.
So just wanted to thank Sandra again via this post. She will probably be embarrassed....but shouldn't be.
And as for me....I don't want this to be about waaaa waaaa waaaa poor me I had to have surgery AGAIN!!! but suffice it to say that I am on the mend. I am not a huge fan of pain killers but I can say that I took 10 Vicodin within the first 24 hours of recovery and was grateful for them.
I'd also like to thank all of my awesome family/team who have been working their little tushies off this weekend over at our Spring Open House event. Despite the weather being awful yesterday it was one of our best Open Houses to date and they will be doing it all again today.
Every time life deals me a blow in one form or the other it just gives me some extra time to sit quietly and thank my lucky stars and the good Lord above for everything, everyday, and everyone I have. I am a very blessed person. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

If you don't want the pink lemonade, I'll take it!

firstly, you are very welcome... it was truly my pleasure to go crazy at trader joe's. and um, ya - i think it is a rule: "if you have surgery you get presents." if it's not a rule, it should be. secondly, i could wax poetic for a good long time about the many kindnesses you have shown me. for instance... the time you and bob were out hunting and gathering and spied the cutest ever vintage plaid doll case with "sandra" emblazoned in lovely script across it's front. my little heart nearly skipped a beat when i opened that gift! what a delight!!! and there were times you went to great lengths to be sneaky! anyhoo... i'll not ramble on any further - i hope you feel better very soon. and uh, maybe you better hide that lemonade... 'cause in addition to courtney's comment, bob was talkin' it up on saturday.

1st and foremost Megan, I wish you a speedy recovery from your surgery.
2nd, Sandra is a gift-giving rockstar/maniac!
3rd and lastly, congratulations on your successful open house!

Thanks for the kind words Avonne...and do you think Sandra has a couple of other jobs we all don't know about to fund all of her rockstar gift giving mania??

i've had that lemonade...and it is delicious! you have to drink it out of a pretty glass though...a beautiful wine glass or something. (not a plastic burger king glass) the lemonade is really yummy with a little champagne mixed in. but you probably shouldn't try it that way until after you are done with the vicodine.

Hi Megan -- Desann and I (and our other two shopping buddies) missed seeing you this weekend -- the stores looked great!! Although they may be a bit emptier since we all managed to find items we couldn't possibly live without. I hope you're feeling better soon!

mmmmmm pink lemonade and champagne sounds good. And now everybody knows that Bob and I hate to wash glasses and we use some old plastic Burger King cups that were going to be thrown away. So we are just recycling!
